Is a steel system flexible enough to work within our architectural requirements?
Absolutely. Many people mistakenly believe that a metal building system would be too inflexible to meet their needs. The fact is that metal structures can be applied to virtually any building application. At Metallic, our engineers work one-on-one with external architects, general contractors and builders to customize each system in accordance with the desired appearance and functional demands of the project.

How customizable is a pre-engineered metal building?
A “pre-engineered” building and a “custom-engineered” building are two different things. At Metallic, we offer one “pre-engineered” line of Express Buildings that offer basic structures quickly and very inexpensively. At the same time, we provide a broad range of “custom-engineered” buildings that are uniquely tailored to fit a broad array of specifications in the way of size, shape and accessories. To get a better idea of the possibilities a custom-engineered building can provide, visit our Building Applications page.

How can I tell the difference between a metal building system and a traditional building?
In many cases, you cannot tell the difference! That is why metal building systems have become an increasingly popular choice for office buildings, hangars, schools, churches, recreational arenas and much more. You get the attractive look of a traditional building with the added benefits of steel, including cost-savings, durability and longevity.

Are metal buildings environmentally- friendly?
Metallic provides metal construction options that – when used as part of a strategically designed green building project – can help you reach your sustainability objectives. Our roof and wall panels, structural members and other steel products are virtually 100% recyclable and can contain 30% to 50% or more recycled material, depending on the product. In addition to recyclability, metal roof and wall panels can reduce waste due to their unmatched durability and resistance to fire, wind and insects. The American Iron and Steel Institute reports that metal roofs last between 40 and 60 years and require significantly less maintenance than other materials. Click here for more green information.
